Founder's Message

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Avinash Chandra shares the story behind Multiple Sclerosis Society Nepal — a mission born from the belief that every person living with MS deserves care, community, and hope.

“When we founded MSSN, our vision was simple yet powerful — to ensure that no person living with Multiple Sclerosis in Nepal feels alone.”

For many years, Multiple Sclerosis remained a little-known disease in our country, leaving patients and families facing uncertainty, delayed diagnosis, and limited support. MSSN was established to change this reality. Through public awareness, patient education, advocacy, research, and collaborative care, we strive to improve access to quality treatment and build a strong, compassionate support network.

We believe that meaningful progress is achieved when patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, researchers, government agencies, and the wider community unite. Every step we take brings us closer to a future where everyone living with MS in Nepal receives the care, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.

I invite you to join us in our mission — whether as a patient, family member, healthcare ally, volunteer, donor, or partner. Together, we can build a more informed, compassionate, and inclusive Nepal for everyone touched by Multiple Sclerosis.
